Amazing. With a knife, and your brain, almost anything can be made into another tool. Food can be processed, clothing built, fires made, and your life defended. Knives have been around a lot longer than guns, but we are forgetting their use and function. Carry a knife every day, like a handgun, till it's part of you. If you learn to use a knife you can learn to fight with it, or even defend yourself from it by knowing the strengths and limitations of the tool. The only fear comes from ignorance and the unwillingness to learn about simple tools. It's a shame that one of the biggest attacks on America came from less than two inches of razor blade at a time when a 4" folder could've been used to stop it by a knowledgeable individual who wasn't lured into our new culture of compliance to fear. Deny those fools who depend on others for their safety and learn to use steel. Get the right tool for your region or planned location. An axe or hawk has its' place, as does a machete. Pick the right tool, and go to work. Why abuse a knife needlessly when you can get a small axe and save time? Think like a frontiersman and grab a knife and hawk the next time you head out. Make an axe part of your kit if you live in the hardwoods, or a machete if you live in the jungle. A hammer can't do every job in building a house, nor can a single blade master every survival or defense situation with ease. The following tools are just a suggestion, a start to your battery of tools and blades. They are by no means the end all solution. Get some tools and practice your skills with a blade. The worst time to learn is when your life depends on it. |
