Ever had one of those "If only I had a..." moments? You kick yourself for not remembering the simplest item like a small knife,firestarter, tool, or flashlight? My solution to this problem was to attach those items to things I knew I would have, like my keys or jacket. These items have come in handy on numerous occasions when I've run out the door or found myself in a place I needed them only to find I had forgotten or lost the item I normally carried. You might call them a back up to a back up, or as the Triathaletes With Guns say, "one is none and two is one." Not a bad philosophy if I say so myself.
